I’m here to help you achieve your goal !

What is your goal to learn Japanese ? To travel Japan, work in Japan, learn Japanese traditional culture, watch Japanese Anime, get good grades in Japanese class at high school & college, pass the JLPT exams...I’ll be happy to help you achieve your goal, whatever it is ! Here are the five courses I offer. Your lessons will be tailor-made based on your level, needs and goal.

1. GEneral Japanese

This course is meant for those who aim to improve all four language skills. We will learn new grammar points using a textbook and supplementary materials that suit your level and then work on practice exercises in our lessons.

2. Speaking

This course is meant for those who want to focus on improving their speaking skill in daily conversations. We will talk about topics you choose or I suggest in a lesson. I will correct errors, if any, and suggest useful expressions. We will also do a review of grammar points where necessary. All onto our Google Docs.

3. Listening

This course is meant for those who want to focus on improving their listening skill. I will provide you with listening exercises from textbooks, podcasts, etc. I will explain words and grammar points used in exercises where necessary.

4. Reading

This course is meant for those who want to focus on improving their reading skill. I will provide you with reading materials, such as textbooks, graded reader books, news articles, podcast transcripts. I will explain words and grammar points used in exercises where necessary.

5. JLPT Preparation

This course is meant for those who want to prepare for a JLPT exam. A JLPT exam consists of three sections - vocabulary & kanji, grammar & reading and listening, so we will work on the section(s) you need assistance in.

ABOUT MY lESSONS

  • I offer weekly lessons using Zoom.

  • I will provide you with material for lessons.

  • All information is typed into Google Docs.

  • Homework assignments are provided upon request and marked by the next lesson.

  • You will have access to the audio and transcripts of my podcast.

  • I use the indirect method with learners at a beginner level, so I explain Japanese grammar and vocabulary in English.

  • I offer a 20-min free trial lesson where we talk about a lesson plan with you.
